You have learned in the previous tutorial how to change the 3 main banners on the blog and link them.\u00a0In this\u00a0Blog Beast tutorial<\/strong>\u00a0you are going to learn how to use the additional buttons and menus that were just made available in the Text editor. The Blog Beast<\/em> was launched in October and more functionality will be added from time to time.<\/p>\n

Blog Beast Tutorial 10<\/h2>\n

Go to the login page located\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0and log in.<\/p>\n

You will see the 4 blue buttons.<\/p>\n

As we are going to make a\u00a0\u201ctext\u201d<\/em>\u00a0post, click on the first button.<\/p>\n

This window will show.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this tutorial we will describe the use of the buttons circled in RED, which have been just added to the editor as an update.<\/p>\n

The first row of buttons<\/h3>\n

The first button for today is the Strike through<\/strong> as you can see in the image below.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

Then the Subscript<\/strong>, which can be useful if you blog about chemistry…<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

And the Superscript<\/strong> for your Maths posts or your square meters…<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

These three previous buttons are not very used, but nice to have.<\/p>\n

The following features are more important. These are the same buttons you have in your desktop Word processor.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

This is the default alignment of your text, which is left<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

You can center<\/strong> text…<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

or align right<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

This is the button that will enable you to color your text<\/strong>. A selection of colors shows in a small window for you to choose from.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

This option will color the background<\/strong>. Very nice to be able to highlight important sentences in a blog post.<\/p>\n

We have now a second row in the editor with menus.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The first menu is for the paragraph format<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

Choose from the menu the kind of paragraph you want.<\/p>\n

The second menu is for the Font style<\/strong> you want<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

Highlight the text and select a font style in the menu.<\/p>\n

The third menu is for the font size<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

This is exactly the same as your Word processor.<\/p>\n

The last menu is for Block styles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Blog<\/p>\n

Select the text you want to style and choose a block style in the menu.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can still ignore these menus and use the default setting.<\/p>\n
