Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win

We are all at times discouraged of not seeing the results we expect as fast as we would want to. This may be valid for a business you want to develop, your efforts to lose weight, your tentatives to get a date or a sport performance you are trying to achieve…

As the expression says:

“Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win”

You may have heard it before, but where does it come from?

I believe that the origin of this expression “Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win” comes from Napoleon Hill’s citation:

A QUITTER NEVER WINS–AND–A WINNER NEVER QUITS.
HILL, NAPOLEON (2009-12-16). HILL, NAPOLEON (2009-12-16). Think and Grow Rich (p. 106). White Dog Publishing. Kindle Edition. (p. 106). White Dog Publishing. Kindle Edition.

The expression was then rephrased later by Vince Lombardi who was an American football coach from 1959 to 1967: “Winners never quit and quitters never win.”

Obviously he read “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, which was published in 1937. The principles in the book have been used by many coaches until now.

Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win

Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win

So, are you a Winner or a Quitter?

As the expression suggests “Quitters never win”, this makes perfect sense. If you quit to soon on what you plan to achieve, you will never see it realized. Consistency is necessary and you’d never know if success is right at the corner.

We still can give some credits to these people who quit as at least they have tried. So many people just procrastinate and never give themselves a chance.

“Winners Never Quit” is a true statement, if they are in the place they are now, it is not by accident or by chance. They have certainly worked consistently to achieve their goals. This does not mean that people who do not quit will necessary win… The goal that has to be achieved has to be in relation of what you are capable of.

Anyways, whatever you are trying to achieve, read the citation Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win often, especially when you feel down. It will help you keep going.
